32nd National U-7 Girls Chess Championship: City’s Sara in third place after sixth round

Top-seed and Mysuru girl K.R.Sara, representing Karnataka and taking part in the 32nd National U-7 National girls chess championship 2018, won his sixth round game against S. A. Asmitha (TN) and after six rounds has secured 5.5 points and is placed third in the rankings.

Anjana of Tamil Nadu and K.A. Meenakshi (AP) are tied with 6 points each and are placed one and two in the rankings after six rounds. K.R. Sara (5.5) is placed third while Aishani Pathak (UP), Lakshana Subramanian (TN) with 5 points each are placed fourth and fifth respectively in the rankings.

Nine players are tied with 5 points and are placed from fourth to thirteenth in the rankings after the sixth round.

In the fifth round, Sara beat Samaira Jain and in the fourth round had scored a good win over Komal Gore (Mah).
