An inspiring spell of left-arm-medium-pace bowling by Rush Kalaria (10-2-18-6) helped Gujarat to skittle out KSCA Colts for 119 in 41 overs, in reply to their first innings score of 384 in 108.4, on the second-day of their Group ‘D’ league game in the KSCA  Dr. (Capt.) K.Thimmappiah Memorial cricket tournament 2018, and took control of the proceedings and have the upper-hand in the tie played at the SDNR Wadayar Platinum Jubilee University grounds here on Thursday.

In the first innings of KSCA Colts, Mysuru lad S.J. Nikin Jose opening the innings played well and scored a well compiled 66 for his team.

Trailing by 265-runs, KSCA Colts in their second innings at close of play were 42 for no loss in 10 overs, with openers S.J. Nikin Jose (18 n.o.) and Ankith Udupa (19 n.o) at the crease.

In the other game at SJCE grounds, Madhya Pradesh CA in reply to Andhra CA’s first innings score of 245 in 95.3 overs, had scored 189 for five in 61 overs, before bad light cried halt to the proceedings.

Yash Dubey scored a well-compiled 100 n.o (169b, 14×4) and along with Saransh Jain (39 n.o, 5x4s) and has added an valuable 124-runs for the sixth wicket. At one stage Madhya Pradesh were reeling at 65 for five in 26.6 overs, but good batting by centurion Yash Dubey, Anshul Tripathi (33, 5×4) and Saransh Jain, helped them to stage a recovery.

Andhra CA 245 in 95.3 overs (Karan Sharma 50 n.o, Kuldeep Sen five for 54, Ishwar Pandey three for 23, Saransh Jain two for 49) Vs Madhya Pradesh CA 189 for five in 61 overs (Yash Dubey 100 n.o, Saransh Jain 39 n.o, Anshul Tripathi 33, B.Ayyappa two for 31, K.V.Sasikanth two for 46).
