March 6, 2018

Mysuru:“The youth need not get disheartened if they did not get jobs in the Udyoga Mela. If they register in ‘Kaushalya Karnataka’ web portal www.kaushalkar.com then they will get an opportunity to train in some of the best Multinational Companies (MNCs),” said Karnataka Skill Development Corporation Chairman Muralidhar Halappa.

He was speaking after distributing appointment letters to a few people, who were selected by various companies, at the valedictory of the three-day Divisional-level Udyoga and Skill Mela at the Maharaja’s College Grounds, here yesterday.

“Through the Corporation, 22 Udyoga Melas, have been successfully organised in different parts of the State. The aim of Siddharamaiah’s Government is to empower the youth,” he said.

Once they enrol under the State Government’s Kaushalya Karnataka Mission Training scheme, they will be imparted training in multi-national companies.

With such training the youth can even start their own companies or get jobs, he added.

Already 7.62 lakh candidates in the State have registered in the Kaushalya Karnataka web portal. In Mysuru region more than one lakh have registered. The responsibility of this mission was given to Subashchandra Kuntia when he was the Chief Secretary and six consultants post had been created,  Halappa said.

MLA Somashekar said that the youth who do not get jobs must not feel betrayed. If one continues to do hard work and has an aim in life then they are bound to succeed. Many of the great leaders in the past have always said that if one has to progress in life then he alone must do the hard work.
