50% rebate on traffic fines: City Police collect over Rs. 48 lakh fine

Mysuru: Following the announcement of 50 percent rebate on traffic fines from June 21 to July 10 by the State Government, the City Police have collected a total of Rs. 48,95,400 in 19,656 cases from June 21 to 23. On June 21, 6,085 cases were closed and Rs. 15,29,950 fine collected. Similarly, on June 22, Rs. 20,88,300 fines were collected and 8,337 cases closes and on June 23, Rs. 12,77,150 fine amount was collected in 5,234 cases, according to a press release.
