50% rebate on traffic fines: Dist. Police collect Rs. 7.81 lakh fines in 3,070 cases from June 21 to 29

Mysuru: The Mysuru District Police, who have been collecting fines as per the 50 percent rebate on pending Traffic fines announced by the State Government, have collected a total of Rs. 7.81 lakh in 3,070 cases from June 21 to 29.

On June 21, the Cops collected Rs. 73,500 fine and closed 292 cases; on June 22, Rs. 35,000 fine was collected in 140 cases; on June 23, a total of Rs. 73,750 fines were collected in 294 cases; on June 24, Rs. 90,250 fines collected from 355 cases; on June 25, Rs. 49,500 fines were collected in 190 cases; on June 26, a total of Rs. 25,500 fine was collected in 99 cases; on June 27, Rs. 67,000 fines from 264 cases; on June 28, Rs. 1,33,500 fine was collected in 525 cases and on June 29, a total of Rs. 2.33 lakh fines from 911 cases, according to Superintendent of Police (SP).
