65 PU College lecturers deputed as Contact Tracing Team members

Mysore/Mysuru: In an effort to aid contact tracing and infection control measures during the COVID-19 pandemic, the District Administration has deputed as many as 65 PU College Lecturers of the district as members of Contact Tracing Team (CCT). Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr. B.S. Manjunatha Swamy has issued an order in this regard.

As per the guidelines issued by the State Government, Contact Tracing Team headed by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Project Director would initiate a cascade of activities to gather and collate information pertaining to the movement of COVID-19 infected persons. 

The team has been facing shortage of staff members and hence has deputed PU College lecturers for the time being.

Deputy Director of Department of Pre-University Education and College Principals have also been informed to immediately send all the deputed PU lecturers to be a part of the team, according to a press release.
