650 persons under Home Quarantine in Hunsur

Hunsur: With the Taluk Administration taking all measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, Taluk Health Officer Dr. Keerthikumar said that 650 persons are under Home Quarantine in Hunsur, including 14 from Nanjangud, out of which three are employees of Nanjangud’s Jubilant Generics.

Pointing out that 350 employees of the Health Department, 218 ASHA workers, 70 Nurses and 40 Male Health Assistants are engaged in crating awareness on COVID-19, he said that all 23 Primary Health Centres in the taluk have been distributed masks and sanitisers.

Announcing that COVID-19 Task Force teams have been constituted, Dr. Keerthikumar said that every team will have two Doctors supported by a Tribal Health Unit and NGOs. 

Noting that Mysuru district has been declared as Red Alert Zone, he said that there are chances that the lockdown that is scheduled to end on Apr. 14, may extend by a week in the district.
