7th edition MI7s held

MICA College, Mysuru, hosted the 7th edition of the State-level Inter-Collegiate Floodlight Football Tournament — MI7s — recently at their football ground.

A total of 40 teams from Mysuru, Bengaluru, Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada took part in the event. The tournament saw some nail-biting matches between the teams.

In the final match that was played between St. Philomena’s College, Puttur and NIE College, Mysuru, St. Philomena’s won the match by 4-0.

The winners were awarded trophy and a cash prize of Rs.14,000 and the runners-up were awarded a trophy and Rs.8,000 cash prize.

Pruthvi from Cauvery College, Gonikoppal, was adjudged as the ‘Best Goal Keeper’ and Pandiyan from St. Philomena’s College, Puttur, was awarded ‘Player of the Tournament,’ according to a press release from the Principal M.N. Ponnamma, Principal, MICA UG College.
