970 students receive degrees at JSS Graduation Day

February 24, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: Stating that it is important to see that the education we have got does not get stagnated at any point of time, Dr. V.N. Balaji, Founder of Bengaluru’s Jubilant Biosys Limited, said that there should be no contradictions between education that we have acquired and the life we lead.

He was delivering the Convocation address at the 13th Graduation Day of JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science on Ooty Road here on Friday last.

Asserting that all the knowledge and education we have acquired will be more meaningful if we implement it in our daily life, Dr. Balaji said that it is also important that graduates become more sensitive, creative and develop leadership qualities.

Noting that Graduates should look to become entrepreneurs and provide employment to youths, rather than just seeking jobs elsewhere and everywhere, he said that China and America occupy the top two positions, while India comes third when it comes to education, for which position institutions such as JSS have contributed a lot. He further said that JSS Institutions have revolutionised education and learning.

“Educational Institutions play a vital role in imparting education based on the needs and demands of the society. The JSS Institution is playing a vital role in expanding the horizons of education and thus contributing for the growth and progress of the country. It is heartening to note that the Institution has also taken the lead in  creating opportunities for newer innovations and explorations in education and research in various fields,” he pointed out.

JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath administered oath to graduates.

A total of 970 students were conferred Graduate and Post-Graduate degrees on the occasion.
