Mysuru: Lokayukta Superintendent of Police (SP), Bengaluru, Shivaprakash Devaraj, who was investigating into the allegations of irregularities against Excise Additional Commissioner of Belagavi Dr.Y. Manjunath, has been recently transferred, without any posting.

Shivaprakash Devaraj, was investigating into the scam related to Excise License allegedly involving Manjunath, based on which Enforcement Directorate (ED) personnel from Bengaluru, had conducted simultaneous raids on the associates of Manjunath including the residence of former Excise Inspector Yamuna at Dattagalli in the city, besides the premises linked to him.  

Recently, Shivaprakash had sought permission from Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, to prosecute former Minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan, in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.

In his year-long stint at Lokayukta since July 2025, Shivaprakash had conducted 31 raids and had filed 17 DA cases. In his last 10 years of service, he has been transferred for nine times.
