Sugama Sangeetha at Alwar Kala Bhavana on Saturday

Mysuru: Srikrishna  Gana Sabha has organised a grand Sugama Sangeetha musical programme at  Alwar Kala Bhavana, 6th Main, Gokulam 3rd Stage, on May 26 (Saturday) by the disciples of Vidushi Sunitha Chandrakumar at 6.30 pm.

The celebrated artistes are: Navaneeth Krishnan, Pratham Bhat, T.S. Ashwini  and C. Sinchana. The accompanying artistes are: C.V. Vishwanath on mandolin, Shanmukha Sajja on keyboard, Bheemashankar on tabla and Vincent on rhythm pad.

Profiles

Navaneeth Krishnan participated in Edhe Thumbi Haaduvenu and  Sa Re Ga Ma Pa of Zee TV. A B-grade artiste, he also participated in Children’s Assembly at New Delhi and is a recipient of many prizes at District-level competitions.

Pratham Bhat is a runner-up in ETV Edhe Thumbi Haaduvenu and has sung for albums composed by Sunitha Chandrakumar. He has also won several prizes at State-level competitions and is a B-grade artiste of AIR.

T.S. Ashwini, a first rank holder in M.A. Sanskrit, is doing research on Yoga and Education Policies at Samvit, Rashtrotthana Parishat, Bangalore. She has co-authored a Dictionary in Pali Language translated to Kannada. A multi-faceted personality, singing is her hobby.

C. Sinchana is a B-grade artiste of AIR and has sung for more than 35 music albums. She has sung during Mysore Winter Festival at the Palace and won  Voice of Mysore contest in 2013 conducted by Nihaal Movies. She has also won first place in Dr. Vishnuvardhan State-level singing competition and won many prizes at District and State-level  competitions.
