Mysuru:  The District Administration and Department of Kannada and Culture have organised a function on July 27 at Kalamandira here as part of Hadapada Appanna Jayanti.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here, Jayanthotsava Samithi President N.R. Nagesh said that a procession carrying a portrait of Hadapada Appanna would be taken out on that day at 9.30am from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple. Also a bike rally will be flagged off by M.B. Shivakumar of Bengaluru and Prof. N.V. Narasimhaiah. The rally would culminate at Kalamandira.

Nagesh said that Minister for Higher Education G.T. Devegowda would inaugurate the stage programme at Kalamandira at 10.30am. Sri Shadakshari Deshikendra Swamiji of Mudukanapura Mutt would grace the occasion. Tourism Minister S.R. Mahesh and others would also participate.
