Mysuru: Silicon RD Ideation Labs Private Ltd., Mysuru’s first Accelerator for Start-ups will conduct its inaugural Fall Hackathon on Sept.1 and 2 at Silver Spirit Technology Park, Drona, 316-318, Hebbal Industrial Area, Mysuru. The event will begin at 9 am.

The company also announced that there will be a prize money pool of over Rs.2 lakh, Google Credits and the opportunity for the top-ten teams to qualify to participate in a free set of boot-camps for accelerating growth in start-up companies.

Silicon RD Accelerator is conducting this event in partnership with Google and NUMA, a France-headquartered Accelerator. “This is a launch pad for start-up ecosystem in Mysuru,” said Sid Mookerji, CEO of Silicon RD Accelerator. “We expect to work with our partners to create an environment in Mysuru where start-ups will thrive, including mentorship, funding and industry connections worldwide,” he added.

Entry is free for the event and high-speed internet connectivity will be provided along with meals and snacks. There will be designated areas to relax and unwind and there will be mentor guidance.

Networking Event

Silicon RD conducted an informal networking event last week on their campus in Hebbal to launch the hackathon. Over a hundred people attended including leaders from marquee educational and research organisations in city.

Dr. N. Parasuraman, Director, SDM-IMD, Dr. Sangameshwara, VC of JSS Technical University, Dr. Sathyendra Rao and Dr. Rajesh Matche, Chief Principal Scientists from CFTRI and Sudhir representing NIE, Sid Mookerji, and Director and India Head S. Sanjay S. were also present.
