Inner reservation: Madigas to stage indefinite stir from Oct.2

September 16, 2018

Mysuru: Accusing the State Government of not acting on the recommendations of the Justice A.J. Sadashiva Commission on inner reservation to Madigas, the Madiga community members will launch an indefinite stir in Bengaluru from Oct.2 to urge the State Government to accept the Commission report and forward the same to the Centre.

Announcing this at a press meet here recently, Madiga reservation activist Ambanna Arolikar said that the indefinite stir will be launched on Oct.2, coinciding with Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, at Freedom Park in Bengaluru.

Alleging that successive State Governments have done nothing on the implementation of the Justice Sadashiva Commission Report which has recommended inner reservation for Madiga community, he said that the stir would continue until the Government act positively on the Commission’s recommendations.

Community activists Muttanna, Nagaraj, Danappa, Maruti, Prasanna and others were present.
