Abhimani, Mysuru Digantha Awards for scribes

Mysuru:  Entries are invited from women and organisations, who have rendered  minimum five years of service for the welfare of women, for the Nari Shakthi Puraskar given by Central Government during International Women’s Day on Mar. 8.

Individuals applying for the award should be above 30 years. Applications can be obtained from the Office of Deputy Director, Department of Women and Child Development, PS-1, High Tension Road, Krishnadevaraya Circle, Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, Mysuru-17.

Abhimani and Mysuru Digantha Awards

Entries are also invited from eligible journalists for the Annual Abhimani and Mysuru Digantha Awards given by Abhimani Prakashana and Karnataka Media Academy, Bengaluru.

Articles/reports on social causes published in State-level and District-level Kannada newspapers between Jan.-Sept. 2018 can be sent for Abhimani Award while human interest stories published during the same period for Mysuru Digantha Award. The awardees will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.  

The articles/reports should carry byline, if not they should be enclosed with a letter signed by the Editors concerned.
