21st M.S. Ramaiah Memorial TT Tourney: Spoorthi finishes runner-up

Mysuru girl M.V. Spoorthi, a student of SBRR Mahajana FGC, taking part in the 21st M.S. Ramaiah Memorial Annual State Ranking table tennis tournament, finished runner-up in the youth girls singles event on Wednesday.

In the finals, Anarghya Manjunath got the better of M.V. Spoorthi 9-11, 11-4, 11-6, 8-11, 5-11, 12-10, 11-4 to clinch the title. In the semi-finals Spoorthi beat A. Samyuktha 11-9, 9-11, 11-5, 14-12, 6-11, 11-6 to enter the title round.

In the women’s singles event, A. Sushmitha Bidri beat M.V. Spoorthi 11-9, 11-3, 10-12, 11-9, 11-8 to enter the semi-finals.
