Kerala Police to produce naxal leader Roopesh before Madikeri Court

Madikeri:  The Kerala Police will be producing naxal leader Roopesh before the Madikeri Court tomorrow (Oct.29).

Roopesh will be brought from the Kerala Jail and will be housed at Madikeri Jail today. After producing Roopesh before the Court tomorrow, the Kerala Police will take him back to Kerala.

It is learnt that Roopesh was a part of the naxalite team led by naxal leader Vikram Gowda which had visited Terangala village near Baghamanda in Kodagu in 2010 and a complaint was registered at Madikeri Rural Police Station in this regard. This apart, Roopesh had visited Kanur, the native place of MLA K.G. Bopaiah in 2016 and a case has also been registered in this regard.

The Kerala Police are producing Roopesh to the Madikeri Court for enquiry in connection with the above cases tomorrow. The Kerala Police have requested the Madikeri District Police to provide security.
