House burgled at Hebbal; gold, cash, documents stolen

Mysuru: House burglars, who gained entry into a locked house at Hebbal in city by forcibly opening the door, decamped with gold ornaments and silver articles worth lakhs of rupees along with Rs. 4 lakh cash and some business documents. The burglary took place at the house of P.S. Jayachandra, located on the 3rd Main Road.

On Dec. 6, Jayachandra, along with his family members, left for Bengaluru. When they returned on Saturday (Dec. 8) they found the front door of the house ajar and on entering the house, they found two gold necklaces weighing about 160 grams, silver articles, Rs. 4 lakh cash and some business documents kept in the room stolen.

The burglars have also taken away the Digital Video Recorder in which CCTV footages are stored. A case has been registered at Hebbal Police Station.
