City Police conduct drive to curb boozing at public places

Mysuru:  In a crackdown on boozing at public places, the City Police booked over a hundred cases in this connection in a four-hour operation last night.

Following complaints of boozing on two-wheelers, cars and other vehicles and at public places, the City Police have launched a drive to curb the menace and in last night’s operation, the Cops booked more than 100 cases against persons found consuming alcohol at public places.

The drive will continue till Jan.1 in the wake of New Year celebrations and also the Police will continue to conduct surprise checks in the coming days, according to City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subramanyeswara Rao.
