Mysuru, Dec. 30- The 54th Annual General Meeting of The Institution of Engineers (India) Mysore Local Centre was held recently at the S.P. Bhat Hall in the Institution premises on JLB Road. Dr. R. Suresh, Professor  & Chairman, Department of Industrial Automation Engineering Centre for Post Graduate Studies, Visvesvaraya Institute of Advance Technologies, Mysuru, was elected as Chairman for the year 2018-2020 and KREDL Project Engineer D.K. Dinesh Kumar was elected as Honorary Secretary.

Dr. R. Suresh completed B.E (Mechanical), M.Tech (Production Engineering System Technology), in Government BDT College of Engineering, Davangere; Ph.D from Bangalore University; Served as PG co-ordinator, Special Officer and Regional Director in Mysuru Regional Centre of VTU.

Dinesh Kumar completed Engineering Degree  from National Institute of Engineering (NIE) Mysuru; After taking a hands-on 3 years experience in Conventional Energy Generation sector switched over to rapid progress Renewable Energy Department (KREDL); has undergone Renewable Energy & Energy Conservation training programme sponsored jointly by Japan Government and Government of India at Yokahoma, Tokyo, Japan; Conduct workshop and training programmes on Renewable Energy &  Energy Conservation Technologies at various institutions and organisations.
