Mysuru: Vaidya Vartha Prakashana and Srimatha Prakashana, Bengaluru, had organised a function at the Institution of Engineers on JLB Road here on Monday for the release of two books ‘Dharani’ and ‘Bhagavata Bhavageethe’ written by IPS Officer Dr. Dharanidevi Malagatti.  

Releasing the books, IGP (Southern Range) K.V. Sharath Chandra commended Dharanidevi for continuing her literary works despite being busy in the Police Department and praised her in coming out with short poems having deep messages. He contended that Police personnel can deliver good results with the co-operation of the people.

Retired Police Officer Basavaraj Malagatti presided. Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) President A.S. Satish felicitated Dr. Dharanidevi. Writers Dr. C. Naganna, Dr. H.S. Venkatesh Murthy, Prof. Aravind Malagatti, ‘Vaidya Vartha’ Editor Amba Urs, Dr. M.G.R. Urs, G.V. Murthy of Srimatha Prakashana and others were present.
