Mysuru: From an exclusive line of sustainable clothing to assorted designer wear from the ramps of the 2019 Lakme Fashion Week, multi-designer fashion house ‘The Open Trunk’ brings to the heritage city a hand selected range of outfits for women of all ages. The event will be held at Southern Star Hotel on Mar.22 and 23 from 11 am to 8 pm.
This will also be the debut year in Mysuru for eco-friendly label House of Primes. The Trunk Show will have on display a collection of Chanderi sarees directly from the weavers in Madhya Pradesh, ready-made blouses and outfits from celebrated designer Masaba Gupta.
“Being a multi-designer house, our focus has always been in sourcing the best of textile and the most unique of pieces from the Indian fashion industry, for our clientele. Going to different cities with an extensive collection from across the country, is our aim for this year. Having said this, the pop up is going to be slightly different from its previous editions, featuring newer designers as well as yet undiscovered talent from the world of fashion,” said Deepa Reddy, Founder, The Open Trunk. To complete the collection, the styling team at the fashion house has carefully put together select pieces of silver jewellery from Amrapali.
The Open Trunk collaborates with established as well as upcoming designers. The offering is quintessentially Indian-made modern, keeping in mind trends across the world and the age spectrum.
