Mysuru: The newly-built Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research on KRS Road here matches the international standards of any hospital in America or Europe and it is going to be one of the model hospitals in the country, lauded Jawaid Akhtar, Principal Secretary to Government of Karnataka, Health & Family Welfare Services.
He was speaking after visiting the hospital and inspecting it here on Wednesday and said that the hospital which is like a five-star hotel but providing quality treatment to the poorest of the poor is truly laudable. This is the pride of Karnataka and all credit should go to the Director of the Institute Dr. C.N. Manjunath, who has been responsible for giving this hospital an international recognition. This hospital is operating without shortage of any expert. With the motto ‘First treatment then payment,’ the poor who come without money in their pocket will be benefited, he said.
