International Conference on “Advances in Mechanical Engineering & Management”

Mysuru: The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), has organised an International Conference on Advances on Mechanical Engineering & Management (ICAMEM – 2019) at its premises here recently.

This conference imparted knowledge on recent advancements and applications in mechanical engineering and management. The conference benefited the faculty members to comprehend the importance of mechanical engineering effectively. Also, it had plenary lectures followed by parallel sessions and provided an opportunity to participants to present research findings of the prospective domains of knowledge.  

Students, academicians, researchers and engineers in the field of Mechanical Engineering belonging to various premier institutions and organisations presented their research papers.

Dr. Sarit Kumar Das, Director, IIT Ropar, Punjab, who was the chief guest for the inaugural, spoke about the recent advances in mechanical engineering.

Gundappa Gowda, President, VV Sangha, P. Vishwanath, Secretary, Srishaila Rammannavar, Treasurer, Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE, Dr. G. V. Naveen Prakash, Professor and HoD, Dr. K.B. Vinay, Organising Secretary, Dr. S.A. Mohan Krishna and Prof.  C.S. Thamme Gowda, Joint Organising Secretaries, Executive Committee coordinators, faculty, students and special invitees were present.

At the valedictory, Dr. T. Sundararajan, Professor, IIT Madras, was the chief guest. In the conference, nearly 50 papers were presented.
