Mysuru: The two-day annual sports meet of Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) began at the University Hockey Grounds here this morning.

Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath inaugurated the event. The two-day event features cricket, athletics and other sports.

University of Mysore (UoM) Department of Physical Education (DPE) Director (in-Charge) Krishnaiah, noted shot-putter B. Manush, Karnataka State Petrol and Diesel Dealers Association State General Secretary Ranjith Hegde, MDJA President C.K. Mahendra and others were present.

The valedictory will take place at 3 pm tomorrow, with MLA L. Nagendra and MUDA Commissioner P.S. Kantharaj as the guests of honour.
