Gowdike Sannappa (85), a resident of Devirammanahalli Layout near here, passed away on Wednesday night at his residence.

A retired Inspector at the Excise Department, he was also the Dharmadarshi of Srikanteshwara Temple in Nanjangud.

He leaves behind his wife Boramma, four sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed yesterday, according to sources.
