A Gowri-Ganesha Chess Tournament has been organised at Hotel Kumar’s The White House, Old Sujatha Hotel, near Highway Circle, Bannimantap, tomorrow (Sept.1), under the aegis of LIC, Rotary Vani Vilas Mysore and Rotary Palace Mysore.

Reporting time is 9 am. A total of 5 to 7 rounds will be played with the first round starting at 10 am. Time Controls: 15 minutes + 5 seconds. Tie break: As per latest FIDE rates. Entry fee: Rs.300.

Tournament will be held in the following categories: U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13 and U-16 (boys and girls) with top five trophies. A total of 42 trophies will be awarded along with special prizes for all players below seven years.
