59th Inter-State Athletics Championship: Karnataka relay team bags gold

Mysuru’s Vidya Sagar emerges fastest

Mysuru lad Vidya Sagar, representing Karnataka in the 59th Inter-State Athletic Championships at Lucknow, emerged as the fastest man of the meet by winning the coveted 100m gold in style on Friday. Vidya Sagar breasted the tape to win the 100m gold with a timing of 10.59s.

Karnataka team won the gold in the 4x100m relay event. Mysuru lads Suhas S. Gowda, Vidya Sagar were part of the quartet. The other two leg runners were Rohith and Rohan Kumar. Karnataka team won the gold with a timing of 41.43s.
