UoM to host South Zone Inter-University Cricket

The Department of Physical Education (DPE), University of Mysore (UoM), will play hosts and conduct the South Zone Inter-University Cricket (Men) Tournament 2019-20 from Nov.28 to Dec.11.

The matches will be played at different venues — SDNR Wadiyar Grounds, JSS-SJCE Grounds, Maharaja’s College Grounds and Gangothri Grounds in Mysuru and PET Grounds in Mandya.

Incidentally, UoM had emerged runners-up in the Rohinton Baria All India Inter-University Championship (2018-19) and South Zone Tournament (2018-19).

Around 90 University cricket teams from South Zone have sent their entries for the Tournament so far. The last date for registering of entry is Oct.19 and the fixtures will be drawn on Oct.21, according to a press release from Dr. P. Krishnaiah, Director (in-Charge), DPE, UoM.
