It has been noticed with concern that there is a lot of uncontrolled vehicular movement at the junction of Basant Tiles Corner located on Akka Mahadevi Road in J.P. Nagar.

It is proving to be very difficult for pedestrians, especially senior citizens, ladies and children residing in the area, to cross the road at the junction with vehicles whizzing past in all four directions, without a thought towards the safety of pedestrians.

Hence, I earnestly appeal to the traffic authorities concerned to take necessary steps to install traffic lights signal, along with those for pedestrian crossings too, at the said junction, at the earliest, to prevent any mishaps from taking place, resulting in loss of innocent lives.
