Mysore Assn.(Mumbai) holds One-Act Play Writing Contest

One-Act play ‘Kanchugannadi’ written by Usha Narasimhan has bagged first prize in the One-Act Play Writing Contest conducted by The Mysore Association, Mumbai. Theatre personality Hulugappa Kattimani has directed the above play on stage. The other prize winners are: ‘Chandranakhayana’ (second prize) by Dr. Mamata Rao; ‘Bombat Beechi’ (third prize) of Beluru Ramamurthy; ‘Ranga Jangama’ of S. Ramanatha, ‘Naananembudu Naanalla’ of B.R. Police Patil and ‘Alaidevru’ of Hanumanta Haaligeri have won consolation prizes. Prize distribution has been organised at the Association auditorium in Mumbai on Nov. 9 at 6.30 pm. One-month theatre workshop to be conducted by theatre artist M. Ganesh will also be inaugurated at the venue.
