– The Annual athletic meet of Police Public School, Jalapuri, was held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city recently. The chief guest for the occasion was Pavithra Chandra, former International Basketball player. C.B. Ryshyanth, SP, Mysuru district and Secretary, KSPW and E Trust, presided.

The day began with torch relay, flag hoisting and a colourful march-past by the students. The chief guest declared the Sports Meet open with pigeons and balloons being released.

The day featured 75mts, 100mts, 200mts, 400mts and 400x100mts relay for pre-primary and primary students. An event was also conducted for the parents.

The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. Deena Uthappa, Vice-Principal, Police Public School, welcomed and introduced the chief guest. Sameena proposed a vote of thanks.

Lekhana R. Prasad of the School has qualified for the CBSE Nationals in the 100mts sprint.
