Mysuru: Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysuru, has organised its 10th Graduation Day Ceremony in the college campus here on Jan. 4 at 11 am.
Addressing the press meet at the campus yesterday, SJCE Registrar Prof. K.S. Lokesh said that as many as 874 Bachelor of Engineering (BE) students will receive the degrees. In all, 21 Medals will be awarded to the students out of which 12 are for the students who have scored highest marks in respective branches and 9 Endowment Medals will also be awarded.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Karnataka High Court Justice Ashok G. Nijagannavar will deliver the Graduation Day Address. Executive Secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside.
Vice-Chancellor of JSS Science and Technology University Prof. L. Jawahar Nesan, Advisor of Technical Education Division Prof. M.H. Dhananjay, Controller of Examinations Prof. K.N. Uday Kumar and SJCE Principal T.N. Nagabhushan along with the governing body and the academic council members will be participating in the function.
Speaking on campus interview, Prof. Lokesh said, “In the year 2019-20, 670 students have been selected through campus interview conducted by 144 companies in SJCE campus. From January to May 2020, an additional 50 plus companies are expected to conduct campus interview in the campus.” “In an effort to upgrade the existing infrastructure, support research and education facilities as well as conduct faculty development programmes, World Bank is providing grants under its TEQIP project in three phases,” he added.
