‘Bhava Pushpanjali’ to Pejawar Seer at Ganapathy Ashram tomorrow

Mysuru:  Several organisations have come together to hold a homage programme ‘Pejawar Sri Bhava Pushpanjali’ to late Pejawar Mutt Seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji on Jan. 19 at 4 pm at Nada Mantapa of Sri Ganapathy Ashram on Ooty Road here.

Disclosing this at a press meet recently, MLA S.A. Ramdas said that Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, Ganapathy Ashram’s Junior Pontiff Sri Datta Vijayananda Theertha Swamiji, Ramakrishna Ashram President Swami Muktidanandaji, Pejawar Seer Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji, Adichunchanagiri Mutt Mysuru Head Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji and Chitradurga’s Sharana Madara Gurupeetha Seer Sri Madara Chennaiah will grace the  occasion.

Recalling that Pejawar Seer loved Mysuru very much and had conducted his last Chaturmasya here recently, Ramdas said welfare of society was the main focus of Pejawar Seer. 

Vijaya Vittala Educational Institutions Secretary R. Vasudeva Bhat, who also spoke, said that other than Udupi and Bengaluru, Mysuru was Pejawar Seer’s favourite city and he has a large number devotees here. 

He said Pejawar Seer had laid foundation stone for construction of a Ram Mandir at Udayagiri in city at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.5 crore and the works will be completed by April this year. The late Seer has also founded a number of institutions in Mysuru including Vijaya Vittala 34 years ago and Sri Krishnadhama 25 years ago as well as an old-age home in JP Nagar, Raghavendra Mutt and a hostel for Backward Classes students.

‘Bhava Pushpanjali’ will begin with devotional music by Raghuleela Sangeetha Shala. A portrait and a small booklet on life and works of the late Seer will be distributed to all participants, he said.
