Spectra: National Management, Cultural and IT Fest held

Mysore/Mysuru: Spectra 2020, a two-day National-level Management, IT and Cultural Fest, was organised at Hindustan First Grade College (HFGC) in city recently.

The Fest provided a platform to students from across the country to exhibit their managerial, IT and cultural talent by participating in various competitions crafted to showcase their skills and share their thoughts.

Spectra 2020 commenced with lighting the lamp by the guests Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar, Vice-Chancellor (VC), University of Mysore (UoM), Dorai Thodla, Chief Technology Officer, iMorph Innovation Centre Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, Ashok Verghese, Director, Hindustan University, Chennai, K.S. Bharadwaj, Chief Flight Instructor, Orient Flights Aviation Academy, Mysuru, Abel Mathew Prasad, Special Officer, HFGC and Dr. C.J. Priya, Principal, HFGC. 

The Fest was highlighted with their objectives and sound outcomes. The guests emphasised on the importance of such events in the competitive environment.

The class toppers and subject toppers were rewarded for their outstanding performance. The inaugural programme concluded with a thanking note by Eshwar, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and  Management, HFGC.  

Spectra aimed to encompass everything from creativity to innovation, planning to strategy, fun to learning through various management activities and competitions. Eleven events were conducted during the Fest which includes Hackathon, Finance, Marketing, Best Manager, Human Resource, Treasure Hunt, Short Movie Contest, Music Band, Fashion Contest, Cultural Event and Photography.

Spectra 2020 witnessed 168 teams, comprising 572 participants from different colleges of Mysuru, Mandya, Bengaluru and Chennai.

The valedictory function was held on Feb.13 which also witnessed good participation. 

The celebrities namely Arava Gowda, Anusha, Sindhu Lokanath, Vikas and Aryan, Special Officer Abel Mathew Prasad and Principal Dr. C.J. Priya were present.

The Overall Championship was bagged by Jain College, Bengaluru and Runners were JSS College, Mysuru. 

The guests presented cash prizes to the winners and runners-up of all the 11 events and the certificates were also given to all the participants.
