June 26, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly condemning the amendments to APMC, Karnataka Land Reforms and Seed Acts and as well as the privatisation moves of the Power sector, the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) and Hasiru Sene will stage demonstrations in front of all Gram Panchayat (GP) offices in the State from June 27 to 30.

Announcing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, KRRS President Badagalapura Nagendra said that as a first step, the demonstrations will be held in front of 1,000 GP offices, in which several farmer associations, Dalit groups and Communist Parties will take part.

Stating that earlier, the KRRS had staged demonstrations in front of the houses of Legislators and Deputy Commissioner’s Offices across the state, Nagendra said that the Statewide protest from tomorrow will be the third phase of demonstration against the Government, which he accused of acting against the interests of farmers.
