  1. Hello, hello! says:

    That list should cover most parts of the expanded Mysuru city!
    It just indicates that the Virus is spreading in communities across the City, and that the Virus is now on a rising curve, and has not reached its peak.
    Further lockdowns, proper curfews and isolating the city are the way forward. The Centre and the State government are failing, failing miserably .

  2. Prof. Hemmige S Yathirajan says:

    @Hello Hello,
    “The Centre and the State government are failing, failing miserably”
    What else one expect them to do Hello Hello. Govt has done maximum.
    Nobody can stop the rising of corona until somebody discovers
    a strong medicine to stop the same. Look at America and Brazil.
    It is very easy for any one to comment. Instead of commenting,
    let us try to stop or minimize the rising curve of corona.

  3. Hello, hello! says:

    Hello Hemmige
    You call yourself a professor and yet you cannot analyse! That is Mysore university for you.
    Take for America. How any millions of foreign visitors including Chinese from Wuhan province visited that country? The answer is many millions. I CAN SAY COMPARATIVELY VERY FEW FOREIGNERS VISIT INDIA, as India is not the first choice for any foreigners to visit. The infections here was brought in the rich Indians who visited America and Europe, laundered their ill-gotten money there.
    As for Brazil, the first choice location for South Americans , millions of them to visit to see its famous football clubs, its night clubs, and its famous festivals and Copa Cabana beach.
    Do not include me, as I do not live in your corrupt India. India cannot do anything right, and the same applies to you.

  4. Hello, hello! says:

    Correction: brought in in by the rich Indians…

  5. Hello, hello! says:

    Sorry: “brought in by the rich Indians…”

  6. Hey Covid-19!! says:

    Hemmige, let us drop your title , as there is no need for it in a forum like this.
    Could you as a professor , do a little more research and find out why say, America has so many cases of Covid-19. It is the mst advanced country, and New York city which is controlled by a Mayor and the over all responsibility for New York governance rests with its Governor Cuomo.
    Just do some research and find out on a pre-Covid-19 day, how many foreigners landed at JFK . You will find that in one day, the number of foreign visitors in that city is more than the total visitors arrived in all airports in India for 3 months, or even more. As the poster said above, NO ONE who is not an Indian wants to visit India. Even many millions of expatriate Indians would rather visit another Western country.
    Each of the American cities have China towns, which means Chinese from there visiting China and receiving their friends from their native country. No wonder America has so many Corona virus cases. The same argument applies to italy, England, France and Spain-these are the most attractive cities for Chinese and other foreign visitors to visit.
    Now, you know, your comparison is flawed. I too do not live in India. I suspect, given the Indian propensity to lie-Modi is good at this, and all CMs too, the number of reported cases are just a fraction of what are NOT reported.

  7. Howdy Modi! says:

    @Hello, hello
    Just drop replying to this professor of Mysore university, we know its standards, after all.
    In regards to your comment on rich Indian visitors bring money to launder, there are still many of them left in their relatives’ houses or elsewhere, and despite Modi’s fancy name to bring them back to India, and lining up the aircrafts, these people are so very reluctant to come back home! In a few months, we could hear the US immigration authorities, search for these, “Aliens” as they call them, to deport back home. Modi’s India, it is!!

  8. Muralidhar M S says:

    Lockdowns will not be an end solution. Make wear masks or face coverings compulsory, with strict fine for defaulters. Also penalize Business owners who allow shopping from unmasked customers and do not ensure social distancing in their premises.

  9. Hare Krishna!! says:

    Deccan Herald reports that India has overtaken Russia as the country with the third highest Corona Virus cases in the world with the US and Brazil above it.
    I agree with posters that the US case is unique, particularly New York which millions of people: businessmen and visitors visit every month, and other cities like LA and Chicago closely behind in terms of numbers of visitors. Brazil is a country which has as a poster put it unique attractions: the Mecca for football ( soccer) clubs and the game fixtures, which alone draws in a large number of visitors around the world who love football ( soccer). Spain for this reason had more Covid-19 cases .
    But India? Well, @Hemmige has typical answer that only an India has! That is, instead of looking inwards and examine why the cases of Virus are getting more and more as @Muralidhar above suggests, which may be the reason, @Hemmige looking outwards, says look at US and Brazil, meaning as long as these 2 counties have more cases, we are fine!
    Have centre and the state governments done enough? One sees almost every day, some inauguration, presentation or whatever, where groups of people congregate , with a prominent minister present, with many not wearing masks and observing social distancing. It is very possible that as @Muralidhar put it, the shops and businesses are completely ignoring the rules ,with only money coming in mind from customers. This curfew may be just a stunt to say we are doing something!! Typical India.
