Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Civil Engineering, The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, is organising an online workshop on ‘Career Opportunities and Guidance’ under the sponsorship of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III), from July 13 to 15.

The workshop will be inaugurated by chief patron of the event Dr. Rohini Nagapadma, Principal, NIE, on July 13 in online platform at 10 am. 

Dr. M.S. Ganeshprasad, Dean (Academic Affairs), will be the guest of honour. Dr. H.S. Prasanna, Chairman, TPAC, NIE and Dr. K.C. Manjunath, Professor and Head, Civil Engineering Department, will preside.

The online workshop comprises of three days webinar series by industry and academic experts. 

H.V. Nagesh, Founder-Director, CSSE, Mysuru, will be speaking on Civil Engineering Applications – An Overview, Harish Machia, Principal Associate – Idental Management Consultancy, Mysuru, will give a motivational lecture on Personality Development and Communication Skills, Dr. C.H. Solanki, Professor, NIT, Surat, Gujarat, will be delivering a lecture on Opportunities in Civil Engineering – Post COVID Scenario, and Aswath Bhargava of Saadhana Engg & Business Consulting services, Bengaluru, will discuss on Integrated Employability skill development. 

Resource persons from Dept. of Civil Engineering Dr. H. S. Prasanna will discuss on Internship and Placement opportunities, Anand M. Hulagabali will deliver a talk on guidelines for career in                                                             Civil Engineering.

The sessions will begin at 10 am and will conclude by 12.15 pm on all days from July 13 to July 15.
