Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Kalanikethana School of Art in city had organised an art exhibition titled ‘Aralu’ at its Gallery in Vijayanagar Second Stage here yesterday in which over 25 acrylic watercolour based paintings of wild flowers, which grow on the roadside and usually go unnoticed, done by artist K. Sangeeta were exhibited.

Mysore and Chamarajanagar District Co-operative Central (MCDCC) Bank Chairman G.D. Harish Gowda inaugurated the art exhibition by lighting the lamp yesterday.

“In all of my paintings, my emphasis lies on depicting flowers, in particular wild flora which rarely catches anybody’s attention,” said Sangeeta, who is currently working as an art teacher at Gollarabeedu Government  School in Sargur of H.D. Kote.

An alumnus of Sri Kalanikethana School of Art, she expressed her happiness in getting an opportunity to display her paintings at the Art School she studied.

Deputy Project Coordinator at DDPI Office Shivkumar, Zilla Panchayar (ZP) Member Chandrika Suresh, farmer Chinnaswamy Vaddagere, Sri Kalanikethana School of Art Principal K.C. Mahadevashetty were the guests on the occasion.
