Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Covid-19 Medical Camp, RT-PCR test was organised for officers and staff of Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Railway Institute here recently in coordination with Mysuru City Corporation and Railway Hospital.
The camp was held as per the directive of MCC Commissioner and IG cum Principal Chief Security Commissioner, RPF, South Western Railway, to restrict the super spread of this contagious virus amongst the uniform personnel, in view of the festival season.
About 130 staff of Mysuru Division, RPF and 15 Staff of Government Railway Police got tested during the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Mysore Division, Devasahayam, in the presence of Dr.Halappa, Additional Chief Medical Superintendent, Railway Hospital, Mysuru.
Dr. Siraj Ahmed, Nodal Officer for COVID-19 from MCC, was also present.
The Camp was supervised by Thomas Jhon, Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF, Mysuru assisted by A. Sridhar, Assistant Security Commissioner, RPF, Mysuru, according to a press release from Priya Shetty, Divisional Commercial Manager and Sr. PRO, South Western Railway, Mysuru Division.
