The Department of Women and Child Development has invited applications from extraordinary child achievers for district-level Hoysala and KeladiChennamma Awards. Talented children aged between 5 and 18 years, who have exemplary record in fields such as Innovation, Sports, Arts and Culture, are eligible to apply. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a citation. Applicants must submit clippings of news reports that appeared in prominent dailies on their achievements or performance and certificates or prizes that confirm their achievements. Prescribed application forms are available at the Department Office located in Vijayanagar II Stage and the applications, that are to be filled in Kannada, must be submitted by Nov. 8.
