KPSC postpones KAS Main Exams

November 19, 2020

Following persistent demand from candidates, the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) this morning announced that it was postponing the KAS Main Exams (Gazetted Probationers) by over a month. The KAS Main Exam will now be held from Feb. 13 to 16. The KPSC announcement comes after the candidates, who had qualified for the Main Exams, demanded that the KPSC postpone the Main Exam, which was originally scheduled to take place in the first week of January, 2021, which dates were close to the UPSC exam. The candidates had also contended that they had little time to prepare for KAS Main Exam, as the exam was scheduled to take place only a few days after the UPSC Exam. The KPSC’s announcement postponing the Main Exam, has come as a big relief to Civil Service aspirants, who had also petitioned the Chief Minister seeking postponement of KAS Main Exams.
