Mysore/Mysuru: A five-day workshop began at the Educational Technology Unit (ETU) of Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru, on Feb.22 towards finalisation of the course material for 12-week Basic Online Course on Kannada. The course, proposed to be hosted on SWAYAM platform of the Ministry of Education, has been designed to teach Kannada for non-native speakers.
Prof. P. Perumalsamy, Professor-cum-Deputy Director, CIIL, in his inaugural address emphasised on the tasks to be completed by the experts during this workshop and also expressed his desire to bring the finalised material at an early date.

The experts invited for this workshop are: Prof. A. Murigeppa, former Vice-Chancellor of Kannada University, Hampi; Prof. C. Naganna, formerly Professor of University of Mysore; Dr. B.K. Ravindranath, KIKS, University of Mysore; Manjunatha Kollegala, Freelance Writer and Columnist, Mysuru.
The CIIL resource persons involved in this workshop are: Dr. Vijayalakshmi A. Patil, Dr. R. Shakunthala, B.R. Jnana Murthy, Dr. Sannapapaiah, Dr. Vijayalakshmi F. Patil, Dr. M.V. Girijamma, Dr. Srinivas, Dr. Manjunatha and K.K. Pradeepa.
