March 27, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. T.  Amarnath inaugurated National Programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness (NPPCD) at the Office of DHO, organised by District Health and Family Welfare Department recently.

Speaking on the occasion,  NPPCD Nodal Officer Dr. Ravi said, “Our team of medical officers will conduct free hearing test for children up to 18 years of age, every month in Mysuru district. Our Department is providing free treatment for children with hearing loss by birth. In case of severe ear infection, everyone should undergo hearing test and get it promptly treated. Never go to road-side quacks or unqualified persons for cleaning of the ears which might lead to grave consequences.
