Women activist Kumudavalli dies in road accident

Mysore/Mysuru: Kumudavalli (64), a pro-women activist and a resident of Saraswathipuram, died in a road accident yesterday morning.

Kumudavalli, along with her husband Raghavendra, had gone to their farm on H.D. Kote Road and when they were returning, Raghavendra lost control of the bike, resulting in Kumudavalli falling from the bike and sustaining serious head injuries. She breathed her last at the spot. Her husband has suffered minor injuries. No case has been registered in this regard.

Kumudavalli was the senior member of Samata Vedike and had taken part in many pro-women agitations.
