Shelter-less woman rescued by MCC

Mysore/Mysuru: A woman, who was living under a tree for the last five days in city, has been shifted to  Rehabilitation Centre by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) officers here yesterday.

The woman had taken shelter under a tree near a Fish Stall in Saraswathipuram for the last few days. She had not moved out despite rains. On the receipt of information, MCC Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy directed the MCC Abhaya Team to rescue. First, she was made to undergo RT-PCR test. Once her report came negative, she was examined for other ailments. After confirming that the lady did not have any disease, the lady was shifted to JMJ Charitable Trust in Kuvempunagar.

A. Shivappa, Community Organising Officer, Dr. J.S. Boralingaiah, Manager of the Abhiyan, Vedavathi, Corporator and Abhaya Team members were present.
