Mysore/Mysuru: City’s Organisation for the Development of People (ODP) has donated 10 Oxygen Concentrators to the District Administration recently.
As part of the social activity of Caritas India of New Delhi and Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India, ODP handed over the Oxygen Concentrators to Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bagadi Gautham and urged the District Administration to provide these equipment to the Maternity Hospital at V.V. Puram, Community Health Centre at Jayanagar and to Seth Mohandas Tulsidas Hospital on JLB Road.
Speaking on the occasion, Bishop of Mysuru Most Rev. Dr. K.A. William lauded the concerns of ODP and added that ODP had served the COVID infected during the second wave of the pandemic besides creating awareness on the need to take vaccination in rural areas.
The Bishop further said that ODP had even helped those to undergo dialysis besides distributing about 500 grocery and medicine kits to the public.
District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. K.H. Prasad, ODP Director Rev. Fr. Alex Prashanth Sequeira, office-bearers John, Ramesh, Annamma and others were present.
