Journalists receive second dose

Mysore/Mysuru: A total of 260 journalists from the district received their second dose of COVID jab (Covishield) at a vaccination drive organised by Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) along with District Administration, ZP, Department of Information and Public Relations and Health and Family Welfare Department at Vartha Bhavan premises on Dhanvantri Road in city on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. B.S. Manjunathaswamy said that journalists  along with health workers, the Police and other medical staff, have worked as frontline warriors during COVID crisis. He maintained that the District Administration, taking note of the risky nature of the job of journalists, has launched the drive for vaccinating them on priority basis.

ZP CEO A.M. Yogesh, DHO Dr. K.H.Prasad, Information and Public Relations Department Assistant Director R. Raju, MDJA President S.T. Ravikumar, office-bearers M. Subramanya, Anurag Basavaraj and others were present on the occasion.
