Utilise satellite bus stand complexes to generate revenue

January 7, 2022

Sir,

In N.R. Constituency represented by our MLA Tanveer Sait, there are two satellite bus stand complexes lying vacant —  Naidunagar satellite bus stand and Sathagalli satellite bus stand.

They were built a decade ago for what purpose nobody knows. Both the bus stand complexes are vacant even today and only the tarmac path on ground floor is used by city buses.

These bus stands have good parking facility, all basic amenities, good access and egress from main road for public. They are ideal buildings to provide Government services to people — like setting up a Primary Health Centre, a Vaccination booth, Voter ID card / Aadhaar card centres etc. If not at least rent it out to private firms to generate revenue from it.

Why waste tax-payers’ money just to maintain these unutilised complexes from the past 10 years? Is the MLA listening?
