Women pledge for organ donation

Mysuru: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Inner Wheel Club of Mysore AISIRI, in association with Adithya Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT), Vidyaranyapuram, had organised an eye and organ donation camp along with JSS Hospital at the Institute premises.

Dr. Shanthanu Gulati, who addressed the women, briefed on the importance of eye and organ donation. He stated that eye donation can be done by anybody even if they are suffering from any disease and from one person  five people can get the vision.

Anitha Venkatesh, Chairperson and Managing Director of AIMIT, motivated the gathering for organ donation.

Radha Vinay, President of IWC Mysuru AISIRI, welcomed. Rashmi Nagendra, VP of IWC Mysuru AISIRI, proposed a vote of thanks.

BDA Keerthi Kumar from JSS said that out of the 25 selected  members,16 have pledged their eyes for donation and 8 members for organ donation.
